Phyllis Thesier, MAT, CCC-SLP is a nationally certified speech and communication speech-language pathologist and international consultant for professionals in business and industry. She has over 25 years of experience in business, educational and medical environments. In 1998, she founded Accent Management Group. She focuses on working with busy professionals that want customized communication training on or off-site to effectively and efficiently communicate their ideas in American Standard English. She includes a wide variety of training technology to best fit the needs of her clients.

The Accent Management Group has had offices in the Boston MA area, New York City area, Shanghai, China and is currently in the Cleveland, OH area. The office in Cleveland serves clients internationally.

Ms. Thesier recently returned to the USA after living in Shanghai, China. While in China, she worked in tandem with Lampton Hillard and Shanghai (Expat) Community Center to present accent modification and presentation workshops to multi-national companies such as Evonik Degussa and Schindler Group.  She worked with clients at 3M, Intel and other private individuals. She also belonged to Shanghai Rotary International with philanthropic projects throughout China.

In addition to founding Accent Management Group in 1998, Ms. Thesier has started, managed and developed very successful Speech Therapy hospital departments in Indiana.   In addition she has been a Senior Staff Therapist for hospitals and Rehabilitation Centers in Indiana and Utah. She also was a part of the research focused Jordan Schools Speech Therapy program in Jordan, Utah, a past adjunct professor at Framingham State College. 

Ms. Thesier has been active within the Toastmaster’s International Community presenting workshops on communication Styles and Body Language, Culture and Communication at District Conferences in the USA and in China. She has also given presentations to the Expatriate Professional Women’s Society, Mother’s of Special Needs Children, conducted “Language , Learning and Storytelling” workshops in Shanghai. Massachusetts Society for Professional Engineers Annual Conference, WPI Enterprise Forum, Rotary, and Massachusetts Special Olympics.
