AMERICAN ENGLISH ACCENT BOOT CAMP & TELEPHONE COACHING
Purpose: To give clients an immersion experience in developing and using the American English Accent. Telephone coaching furthers the learning via training and strengthening the strategies within daily complex spontaneous and prepared verbal communication situations. Some other language issues may be addressed in these sessions as well. Some clients will require more than one program to address all of their accent/language issues.
Duration: Prior to the Boot Camp, each client participates in an individual telephone evaluation from which it is determined what materials would be most beneficial for them. The Boot Camp is two 7.5-hour days with meals included as part of the learning experience. Each Telephone coaching segment usually consists of 15 weeks of one-hour individual sessions each week. Each client initiates the call at their appointed time.
Program size: 1-3 participants
Boot Camp Site: This usually takes place at the client’s worksite.
Materials: Three different workbooks, one CD-ROM, and custom designed materials are issued, dependent upon each individual’s needs. Materials beyond the initial materials are paid for by the individual. A common workbook is established so that the group can relate to the basics of the American Accent. Not provided by the training: Each individual will need a laptop and a digital recorder for the class. Work and interest related written materials for practice in familiar vernacular are also needed.
Access needed: To copiers, a computer and printer as well as a white board and over head projector.
Investment for training and materials: Private coaching: $3375.00:
2-3 individuals: $3000.00 each. Travel beyond 30 miles from my office is expensed to the company. Air and travel expenses are paid by the hosting company. These are either arranged by the company or me dependent upon the agreements.
